Applications for the APRN Advisory Committee at the Ohio State Board of Nursing are now being accepted. OAAPN members interested in being considered by OAAPN for nomination to the APRN Advisory Committee for one of the four positions listed below will need to complete the OBON application (note this is not a link to a website but rather a direct download of application in the download section of your browser) and return it along with your CV to execdirector@oaapn.org, by Wednesday, April 23.
At this point, you should not return the application to the OBON as the application requires a letter of recommendation (LOR) from a supporting APRN organization or school. If you are selected, OAAPN will provide you with the LOR and then you must submit your application to the OBON by Friday, May 9. You can find additional information and the application here.
The Board will appoint APRN Advisory Committee members at the May 21-22, 2025 meeting.
Open Positions: Two-Year Terms
The following appointments will be effective May 25, 2025:
One APRN actively engaged in the practice of advanced practice registered nursing in a clinical setting in Ohio
One APRN-CRNA actively engaged in the practice of advanced practice registered nursing in a clinical setting in Ohio
One representative of an entity employing ten or more advanced practice registered nurses actively engaged in practice in Ohio
One APRN serving as a faculty member of an approved program of nursing education that prepares students for licensure as APRNs
The Advisory Committee generally meets three times a year. The meetings are held in person at the State Library of Ohio. The remaining meetings for 2025 are scheduled for June 3 and October 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you are interested in being considered for a letter of recommendation from OAAPN, please submit your CV and completed application by April 23 to execdirector@oaapn.org. Once your application is received, it will be reviewed by the OAAPN Board Development Committee and you will be notified on or around April 28.
