For 2024, OAAPN recognized an individual for her inspiring commitment to the APRN profession, her patients, community, and better access to care for all Ohioans.
This year we present the Advocate of the Year award to Suzanne Fortuna, DNP, APRN-CNS, APRN-CNP!
Suzanne has not only participated in APRN advocacy efforts at federal and state levels but also through clinical practice. She embraces advocacy from those with complex/special healthcare needs to those with chronic disease. She has been supportive of ENA for workplace violence and fair staffing in ED’s. As a local OAAPN chapter leader, she keeps her APRN community informed of legislation changes which impact the APRN role as well as encourages APRNs to advocate and become involved.
The OAAPN Advocate of the Year Award is bestowed upon an individual who supports and promotes the role of Advanced Practice Nurses. Congratulations Suzanne!
