The Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses is committed to the health and welfare of all Ohioans. OAAPN will continue to shed light on social issues in our state and support our communities.

Home is the Foundation (H.I.T. Foundation) is a not-for-profit organization formed to meet the shortage of affordable housing options in rural Preble County, Ohio. They strive to provide their community a voice concerning housing issues and believe that combining services and referrals with education and support fosters stability and empowers their clients to build community one family at a time.

Not only does the H.I.T. Foundation own several rental properties around Preble County that they provide to low-income families at affordable rates, but they also administer programs such as senior home repair and a variety of homeless services.

There are several ways to support the H.I.T. Foundation. Volunteer opportunities are available helping with senior yard cleanups, homeless shelter meals, envelope stuffing, and more. You can make a monetary donation via this LINK and/or make a purchase from their Amazon Wish List to have sent directly to the organization.
