UPDATE- May 19, 6PM EST
Legislative Update:
The Ohio House Medicaid Committee was scheduled to vote on House Bill 508 today, but the vote was postponed as discussions among committee members continue.
While we expected a vote today, it is common for committee votes to be delayed. We remain confident that the support for passage of HB 508 remains strong. Continued advocacy and outreach remain important, and we strongly encourage members to continue contacting their legislators in support of HB 508 and SB 258.
SB 258 is scheduled for testimony tomorrow in the Senate Health Committee. This testimony is scheduled for 10 AM EST and can be viewed here: https://ohiochannel.org/series/ohio-senate-health-committee
While the process continues to evolve, important conversations remain underway. Ongoing advocacy is essential, and continued outreach, engagement, and communication with legislators will be critical to maintaining momentum. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to follow the hearings, contact legislators, and advocate for these important issues. Your voices continue to make a difference.
