Rebecca Cesa received her ADN from Huron School of Nursing (2002) and her MSN from CWRU (2009). She is currently enrolled in the DNP program at Kent State University and is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Rebecca began her career at Cleveland Clinic in 2001, where she worked in the Central Processing Lab. After graduating from nursing school, she worked in the Emergency Department and obtained a certificate in forensic nursing, which then led to her work as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. After some time in Cardiothoracic Surgery she found her way to an inpatient pediatric cardiology unit.
In her role as a nurse practitioner she has cared for pediatric urology patients, helped to build a practice, presented on pediatric urology topics, served as a guest lecturer at CWRU and University of Akron, served as a clinical preceptor, and participated in many research initiatives. Currently, she is the Nursing Quality Program Manager at Marymount Hospital. Serving as OAAPN’s Cleveland Chapter Leader since 2018, Rebecca’s meetings are highly attended. She states, “I really enjoy networking with APRNs from other hospitals and specialties. I am looking forward to future involvement with OAAPN.” She is also a member of the APRN Council, past council chair, and active member of the Education and Recognition Committees. She recently completed the APRN Professional Development Quality Pathway. Part of her work in this program included the initiation of a monthly APRN Grand Rounds. She is now faculty for the 2022-2023 program.
