I am also currently a registered nurse at University of Cincinnati Medical Center and have been working on this elective orthopedic/medical-surgical unit about four years now. One of the requirements for the MSN program is a clinical rotation, which is an opportunity for myself to apply what we are learning in a real world setting and to work alongside experienced professionals and to contribute to the work of my host agency. My clinical rotation will be starting in October and require me to have at least 300 hours in a Family Practice or Primary Care setting, which is what I am looking for at this time. I would be grateful for this opportunity, which could allow me to develop my core competencies in an outpatient practice.

  • Details: Hello There! My name is Jennifer Suffridge. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Student at Walden University. I am at the end of my studies, and have completed the Master of Science in Nursing component and have only 2 practicum quarters left. I am seeking a practicum placement that will last 10 weeks and 144 hours starting at the end of February. We can do med management, psychotherapy with individuals and groups, diagnose and treat, among other things. This quarter focuses on children and adolescents. I am looking for a preceptor who is also a Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). One I can follow, work with, etc. I realize that this is short notice, however my planned preceptor is on medical leave and I will lose my place in my program if I do not find a placement- I am highly motivated, and a very hard worker. PS- I have a 16 year old autistic daughter and bring behavioral therapy and expertise with behavior issues, among many other things. Hope to hear from you soon! • Details: I am in need of a preceptor in pediatrics. Since I work full-time day shift, my preference would be to find a pediatric location offering one or two late evenings and Saturday hours. This rotation is from 03/04/19 – 04/27/19. I require 125 hours to complete this rotation over the eight-week period. Also, I am in need of a preceptor who practices at an urgent care facility. I am interested in precepting in the evenings, from 5-9pm and on weekends, and would be happy to precept on both Saturday and Sunday. I am required to complete 125 hours over the course of eight weeks. I am able to precept with a NP, MD, or DO. This rotation is from 05/06/19 and ends 06/29/19. Any assistance you can provide to me is truly appreciated. Unfortunately, after many phone calls and visits to offices, I have been unable to locate preceptors for these two clinical rotations and I am in need of securing these sites fairly quickly.
