Join Us for an OAAPN Member Presentation on Cultural Humility
OAAPN is proud and excited to welcome Dr. Kristy McCray on August 18 at 7 pm for a virtual OAAPN member presentation, “Cultural Humility: Going Beyond Cultural Competence.” Attendees will be introduced to cultural humility, which includes lifelong learning and self-reflection and how to use these tools to achieve a diverse, inclusive and equitable practice.
Dr. McCray is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Sport Sciences at Otterbein University. She is an anti-racist educator and sexual violence prevention scholar who uses an intersectional lens to teach courses on sports, race, gender and leadership.
We hope you can join us for this enlightening hour long presentation and Q&A that is both relevant and essential for all of us in the healthcare community.
As part of this member event we ask that you consider a donation to the Pickaway County Community Action Organization (PICCA). PICCA provides opportunities which empower those in poverty in their county to become self-sufficient and improve their quality of life.
There is no cost to attend but registration is required. Please visit this LINK to register by August 17.
