Membership Matters

By Sara Pease, APRN-CNP

These have certainly been trying times for everyone and we cannot stress our gratitude for all essential and frontline workers enough. In these past weeks and months, because of the support of OAAPN membership, OAAPN has been hard at work on education and support for Ohio’s more than 17,000 APRNs. This is especially true in our efforts to keep Ohio’s APRNS up to date with the most recent changes in practice related to COVID 19.

OAAPN has been essential in clarifying changes to telemedicine requirements, delivering a daily synopsis of Governor DeWine’s press conferences, supporting the ongoing efforts with H.B. 177, the Better Access, Better Care Act and much more. As we move forward with our efforts to ensure Ohio’s patients have full and direct access to APRN provided care and work to keep abreast of any legislative and practice changes that may come from the recent pandemic, the active involvement of APRN’s like you is critical and we want you to be a part of it!

Membership with OAAPN has many benefits. Not only do your membership dues support our legislative efforts to remove barriers and unnecessary regulations for APRNs in Ohio, but they also provide answers to legally researched practice questions, CE opportunities, peer interaction, and philanthropic activities!

To better serve our members, we have created a membership survey. Even if you are not currently a member, please take a moment to use your voice by completing our survey so that we can assess continued Ohio APRN needs.

Your OAAPN membership matters in our state, for our profession and our patients! If you are currently a member, we thank you for your support of our profession. If you are not yet a member please click here and say yes to joining us and making YOUR membership matter today!
