National Nurses Week

National Nurses Week was established by the American Nurses Association in 1993, to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession. Each year, it is celebrated from May 6 through May 12, ending on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is considered to be the founder of modern nursing.

This year the ANA is celebrating their membership by focusing on “4 Million Reasons to Celebrate.” The goal of the week is to recognize the immense contributions of America’s 4 million registered nurses and the positive influence that they make on our society.

Join The Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and our amazing APRNs in celebrating National Nurses Week by taking a moment to acknowledge the collective impact of the profession.
