Call to Action: Attend Proponent Testimony, HB 177

On Tuesday, April 30 the House Health Committee will hear proponent testimony on HB 177, the Better Access, Better Care Act. Representatives from OAAPN, AARP and other interested parties will be advocating for the removal of the mandated SCA. It is imperative that OAAPN members turn out to show our support for our profession and for the 1.5 million patients across Ohio who lack access to care in their communities.

A large turnout on the 30th is critical to our efforts in Columbus to establish momentum for HB 177. A visible APRN presence at the hearing will demonstrate to members of the health committee that we support this effort to retire the SCA on behalf of our profession and patients across our state. Please make every effort to attend.
Note: OAAPN does not have any control over the actual timing of our testimony so please be prepared to spend several hours at the Statehouse.
