National Nurse Practitioner Week 2018 is recognized November 11-17, 2018. This annual celebration honors the extraordinary health care NPs provide and reminds lawmakers of the importance of removing barriers, allowing nurse practitioners to practice to the full extent of their education and experience.
Ohio Governor John R. Kasich and Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor officially recognized the week in their NP Week Proclamation, encouraging “all Ohioans to recognize the many contributions that this dedicated group of health care professionals makes makes to the health and well-being of the people in the communities they serve in this great state and throughout the country.”
There are numerous ways to get involved this week and raise awareness of the NP role and the care we provide. Check out the Nurse Practitioner Week 2018 Resource Guide for activity ideas, the NP Fact Sheet and talking points, media resources, and more.
