Last Thursday, August 29, Representative Theresa Gavarone, introduced HB 726, the “Better Access to Better Care Act” aimed at retiring mandatory collaboration between APRNs and physicians and podiatrists. In no way does the retirement of the Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) preclude voluntary professional collaboration among healthcare providers. This is another step forward to improve Ohioan’s access to quality healthcare.
We encourage all members to support this effort by visiting the Ohioans for Healthcare Access website where you can send a letter in support of HB 726. Once there, you will be matched with your Ohio Representative and in just several clicks, deliver your letter of support. This is a critical milestone for our profession and we hope that you will take several minutes today to participate in this important show of support of Representative Gavarone and for patients across Ohio.
