Summary: This presentation will briefly describe what GerD is and the risk factors of GerD. More importantly red flags will be noted so the provider will be able to know when to refer to a specialist. The majority of the presentation will focus on the variety of treatment options for GerD. We will discuss each option and the side effects of them as well.

Joscelyn Greaves has been a GI NP for the past 6 years. In her practice, she treats GerD and uses PPI daily. She also works an adjunct faculty in local graduate NP program.
