Interested in Serving on the OBON’s APRN Advisory Committee?
The Ohio Board of Nursing has posted the application process to serve on the OBON’s APRN Advisory Committee in the following open positions: one CNM, one APRN who practices in primary care and one APRN who serves as faculty member of an approved program of nursing education that prepares students for licensure as APRNS. This advisory board was mandated by House Bill 216 and is to include: four APRNs practicing in Ohio with at least one in primary care, one CRNA and one CNM. The committee will also include a representative of an entity that employs 10 or more APRNs who are actively practicing in Ohio, as well as two APRNs who each serve as faculty members of approved programs of nursing education that prepare students for licensure as APRNs.
Recommendations for the APRN Advisory Committee appointments may be submitted to the OBON from organizations representing APRNs practicing in Ohio and from schools of advanced practice registered nursing for APRN faculty applicants. If you are interested in being considered by OAAPN for nomination to the APRN Advisory Committee for one of the three positions, you may complete the application and return it along with your CV via e-mail to OAAPN no later than 5pm Monday, April 23.
You may download the application from the Ohio Board of Nursing website at this LINK. More information is located from this LINK on the OBON home page. Please note: You should not return the application to the OBON since the application requires an accompanying letter of recommendation (LOR) from a supporting APRN organization. If selected, OAAPN will provide the LOR and will submit your application on your behalf.
Please e-mail the application and CV to: firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 pm April 23, 2018. OAAPN will review all submissions and you will be notified by OAAPN whether or not you were selected for nomination.
