National CRNA Week

Join us in celebrating National CRNA Week!

National CRNA Week celebrates the 52,000+ Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and student registered nurse anesthetists who provide 43 million anesthetics each year.

This year marks the 19th annual National CRNA Week observance, which was established by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) to encourage CRNAs to educate the public about anesthesia safety and the benefits of receiving anesthesia care from a nurse anesthetist.

The annual celebration has been designated to honor CRNAs and also allows patients, hospital administrators, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and others to become informed about this advanced practice nursing specialty. CRNAs are essential to our healthcare system and have been providing anesthesia care for more than 150 years.

This year’s theme, “Making a Difference, One Patient at a Time,” reflects on how CRNAs dedicate themselves to each of their patients before, during and after surgery. CRNAs are there for every heartbeat, every breath, and every second. This continues the AANA national public education campaign, which is devoted to sharing information, answering questions and dispelling myths about anesthesia care.
