APRN license renewal with the Ohio Board of Nursing begins July 1. All CNP, CNS and CNM renewal applicants must provide the OBON with a list of their current collaborating physicians and the physicians’ business addresses as part of the online renewal process. You do this by uploading a document listing your collaborating physician(s) and addresses. If you do not have a collaborator, you will put that on the document and upload. You will need to upload this document at the time of renewal to be issued your license.

APRN license renewal must be done by December 31, 2017. However, the deadline to renew your RN license is October 31, 2017.
All APRNs are also obligated to update their standard care arrangement every two years to include additions and deletions to their collaborating physicians and have that available if requested by the Board; however, you are no longer required to report that information to the Board on an ongoing basis. The CE requirements for the 2017 renewal period have not changed. You are required to have a total of 36 hours, including 12 Pharm and 1 Category A Law. For more information on the 2017 APRN license renewal period, please view our infographic.
