Q: I am still in my externship and have not completed my hours. Should I not worry about getting the rest of my hours. I just received my national certification. Do I still need to apply for the CTP?

A: The current law on CTP-E and the required 1500 hours remains in effect until the changes in statute from 216 becomes effective on April 4, 2017. OAAPN does not know what transition the OBON will require, if any, from COA with CTP/CTP-E to the APRN license. When OBON has determined the process and what is required, it will be posted on the OBON website.
