HB 216 We Need You to Attend June 10 Sponsor Testimony!
Be part of something BIG for YOUR profession!!! Be part of history!! Those who show up make policy; so nurses, it is time to show up! YOU are needed.
Ohio lawmakers are considering legislation (HB 216) that will eliminate practice barriers for APRNs and improve patient care. With YOUR help Ohio could be the 22nd state to take this important step forward and modernize its outdated laws.
On Wednesday, June 10, HB 216 is expected to begin its journey through the Ohio General Assembly when the House Health & Aging Committee hears testimony from bill sponsor Rep. Dorothy Pelanda. It is essential that nurses (APRNs and non APRNs) be present at the Statehouse to signal strong support for the bill.
Please RSVP to Jan Lanier at jklanier3@wowway.com and let us know you can attend! Please include your preferred contact information (email address and cell phone number) so we can update you as plans are finalized.
We will meet at 8:30 a.m. on June 10 in the Statehouse Rotunda where free HB 216 T-shirts will be distributed to the first 100 participants. Please plan on bringing your best lab coat in the event you are not one of the lucky first 100. We will then proceed to the committee hearing room (116) by 9:00 a.m. and will be finished by noon at the very latest.
Join your colleagues on June 10th; bring a friend, and make a difference!!
We must overwhelm the Statehouse so that all can see our commitment to this legislation.
