Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, OAAPN will conduct a series of live radio interviews to launch the results of a RAND Health Study commissioned by OAAPN. The study found that removing restrictive scope-of-practice laws among Ohio’s APRNs could lead to increased access to health care and approximately 70,000 fewer emergency department visits in the state.  This could result in potentially millions of dollars in savings for Ohio due to the high cost of ED visits.

OAAPN’s Immediate Past President, Diann Nelson-Houser, will talk with radio stations throughout Ohio to discuss the study results and raise awareness about full practice authority in Ohio. After tomorrow’s radio media tour, we will continue to share the results with local media outlets and will post announcements via OAAPN’s Facebook page, Twitter and LinkedIn.
