Our annual Statewide Meeting is quickly approaching. We are excited to fill you in on even more nationally recognized speakers we have booked for the weekend event. Last week we highlighted two nationally recognized speakers that will be in attendance. We are pleased to introduce you to three more  exciting speakers scheduled for the event.

Dr. Angela Golden

We are excited to welcome Dr. Angela Golden, AANP Immediate Past President, as our keynote speaker for Friday morning. Not only does Dr. Golden share her knowledge to future NPs as Assistant Professor at Northern Arizona University teaching in both their undergraduate and graduate programs, Dr. Golden also owns her own family practice care, NP from Home, LLC. She also speaks at the local, state and national levels and has published several journals and texts, including editing the Flight Nursing Review Manual. We are anxious to hear Dr. Golden share her insight into the future of advanced practice nursing for Ohio as it relates to the national rapid growth for our field that is sweeping the nation.

Dr. Ted Parran

OAAPN is pleased to welcome back Dr. Ted Parran to present updates on pharmacology, focusing on advanced practice nursing. Dr. Parran currently serves as the Medical Director of Continuing Medical Education and the Director of Addiction Fellowships Program at Case Western Reserve University. He is nationally recognized as an expert in addiction medicine, patient communications, faculty development and continuing medical education.

Brett Snodgrass, MSN, APRN, FNP BC

Our Saturday morning pharmacology session is going to be even more interesting this year. We are offering a special AANP program on ER/LA Opioid REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) with Brett Snodgrass, MSN, APRN, FNP BC. Ms. Snodgrass is certified as a family nurse practitioner and is the founder and CEO of BBS Consultants, Inc. She is a clinician/family nurse practitioner in the emergency room at Methodist/Lebonheur Healthcare in Germantown, Tennessee, as well as a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner at Comprehensive Primary Care Atoka and Bartlett, TN. Her publications include ER/LA Opioid REMS Workshop: Achieving Safe Use While Improving Patient Care. The Saturday morning program will include discussions on ways to ensure the ER/LA opioids are prescribed, when indicated, in a manner that enhances patient well-being and does not contribute to individual or public harm.

We are excited we are able to bring all of these industry leaders to you. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear them share their knowledge and insight, register for the Statewide Conference today!
